The purpose of association, the Readers of Baghdad, is to help with the rebuilding of teaching in Iraq through its various sectors and services, and to develop its bonds with French National Education. For that, she :
- organizes collections of school supplies and material ;
- organizes collections of funds and gifts ;
- works with the various services of French National Education (Primary, secondary, university) in order to promote training courses, formations, the granting of grants for Iraqi, in all the curricular areas ;
- works in partnership with the school complexes, the school establishments, the universities, the town halls of the communes, the departments and the areas interested ;
- organizes demonstrations in order to support the cultural exchanges between France and Iraq.
